Program for Child Protection Week  2018

Purpose of the Event

The purpose of the event is to create awareness around the number of violations of the children’s rights in the community of Diepsloot. It aims to recreate consciousness in the community members about the importance of keeping its children safe, and their basic needs so that they can develop into productive members of society in future. The event will be hosted by NCVT and Rabasotho Combined School.

 

Child Protection Peace Walk Program

The event is due to start at 10:00hrs at the Rabasotho Combined school where 350 learners will be prepared for a Peace Walk to the Youth Centre in Diepsloot. The learners, NCVT Staff, Volunteers and stake holders will be carrying plaque cards and condemning child abuse, child neglect and child trafficking in the Diepsloot community. The walk will end at the Diepsloot Community Centre where learners and stakeholders will deliver speeches condemning all the social ills against children. The learners will then be offered refreshments before they are taken back by transport that would have been arranged for them.
